Head Quarters Church Of God II Chronicles 7:16
From Cincinnati, Ohio came a powerful preacher, the National Evangelist of the Church of the Living God C.W.F.F. She was ordained as a Pastor by the Executive Board of Bishops of the Church of the Living God. She had a desire to start a church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. So, in 1974, she came to Philadelphia, where she met Elder Henry Cobb. She informed him of her desire of establishing a church, here in Philadelphia. He quickly said he would work with her, and help in every way. The two working together diligently, saw they could take this relationship to a greater level. So Elder Cobb asked the new Pastor for her hand in marriage; and, she said, yes. She and he pastored together for the next quarter of a century. That Pastor is now the National Mother of the Church of God. Her name is Shepherd Mother Elaine Cobb, Pastor Emeritus; and, that Elder is now the presiding Bishop and Chief Apostle of the brotherhood called the Church of God.
In 1992, they established the Church of God Victory Academy, which serves grades K through 12th, which is presently operating. In 1996, the Chief Apostle established the Church of God Revelation Bible College. In 1997, Temple No. 2 was established by Chief Apostle and Shepherd Mother Cobb, under the pastorate of Howard Shields. In 1998, Temple No. 3 in Baltimore, Maryland was established under the pastorate of Samuel Gordon. In 2003, Temple No. 4 in Richmond, Virginia was established under the pastorate of Sylvia Fletcher, and in 2004 Temple No. 5 in Cincinnati, Ohio was established under the pastorate of Barbara Branson.

During the first 31 years, Chief Apostle and Shepherd Mother Cobb began with their first service in their home. Some time thereafter the church moved to 1008 W. Cambria St. with the seating capacity of approximately 50 people. Later, the church moved to 5333 Germantown Avenue with the seating capacity of 200 people and then relocated to 2340 North 30th Street, which was the last stop before attaining their promised land of Canaan, Church of God located on 5th and Clearfield Street in North Philadelphia, where God has blessed them to have their own place of worship with the seating capacity of 1200 people.

7. We believe Jesus died on the cross, was buried in the tomb, arose    from the dead the third day and ascended into Heaven now on the right    hand of Power.
